In this sermon, our founding pastor, W. Graham Smith, preaches on Pentecost and how the Holy Spirit came upon the believers like, “The Sound Of The Wind.” Here are some excerpts:

The Sound of the Wind at Pentecost

“…Today, in the calendar of the Christian Year, is Pentecost Sunday, when we remember how, after the resurrection and ascension of our Lord, the disciples were gathered in a house in Jerusalem on the Jewish feast of Pentecost and were visited with signs from heaven… The wind was held to symbolize the Spirit of God Who was entering the lives of those waiting believers to bestow upon them new life and power and blessing…”

The Holy Spirit and The Sound of The Wind

“…You cannot see the Holy Spirit, any more than you can see the wind. You may not know how the Holy Spirit works, but you see the effects of the Spirit in redeemed human lives, in the ministries of the Church, and in the life of the world…”

The Sound of The Wind At Work

“Just within the past five years the Spirit of God has revealed to us another of these new and exciting methods of evangelism. Less than ten years ago a successful young business man, Norm Whan, was converted, and his life was miraculously changed… And soon the Holy Spirit led him to ask this question, “Could God use this method to plant new churches?” And God said. to him, “Try it and see!”…”
