Faith Promise Letter and Cards

(Click here for the letter from Pastor Neil and Promise Cards)

Christian stewardship is based on the belief that the world, and everything in it, ultimately belongs to God. It is the process of using the God-given resources that He has entrusted to each of us to accomplish His work in His world.

Your Faith Promise is your commitment to God for the coming year.
We will dedicate the Faith Promises on Sunday, November 22, as part of our worship service. We pray that God will lead you to step out in faith through sacrificial giving as we step out together in the work God has planned for us.

Please prayerfully consider the financial commitment God would have you make to the ministry of Faith for 2016 and return your Faith Promise cards by Sunday, November 22. If you didn't receive one, additional Faith Promise letters and response cards are available at the Welcome Table in the lobby, or click here for the letter and cards.

Dear Day-to-Serve Family Food and Funfest Volunteers and Supporters,

Thank you for all your effort, giving spirit and dedication to outreach. It has been an honor to work with you these last several months. God has truly been at work and I know He has a plan. It is wonderful that we have served to increase awareness of Koinonia. We have also had an opportunity to engage with the local faith community, establishing relationships with churches around us. I pray for God’s leading that we may use these connections to further His work in Kingstowne and for  Koinonia.

To that end…

  • The Day-to-Serve Family Food and Funfest on 3 October 2015 has been cancelled. The forecasted inclement weather with heavy rain and strong winds has forced us to cancel the event.
  • The Day to Serve effort has been a success on many fronts.

o   First, with the generous gift from churches Koinonia has already collected almost 1000 pounds of food with several churches doing more collections this weekend.

o   Second, we have raised the community awareness of Koinonia through our extensive  outreach efforts to the community.

o   And lastly,  the planning committee has forged some strong interfaith ties through this process that will  stand us, our churches and our community in good stead going forward. God is good and has blessed us!

  • Please  consider donating to Koinonia what you would have spent on tickets and food.
  • Also consider making donations for baked items that Faith members have lovingly prepared for the Funfest.
  • Support Carolyn’s bakers by making Koinonia donations for the items they baked at church on Sunday
  • Look for opportunities for our Praise teams that practiced several times, to perform
  • Think of ways we may use our Faith community to grow stronger relationships and provide outreach to the broader Kingstowne and Alexandria communities

Thank you all, I am honored to have had your great support and to witness your loving spirit for outreach.

God bless.

In Him, -Ken
