Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

Our Sunday school program provides opportunities for men and women to learn the God's Word and to consider how to apply its truths in today's world

We are committed to the inerrancy of the Bible and teaching in the Reformed tradition.

Sunday school meets at 9:45 each Sunday morning.

During each quarter, our Sunday school program offers a variety of classes in Bible, Christian thought and practical discipleship.

For Summer 2010 (July 4 - September 5, 2010), we have the following Sunday school classes:

THRU-THE-BIBLE

1 Corinthians

Scholars debate the central purpose of 1 Corinthians as it does not deal with a particular heresy as many epistles do and covers so many topics. The culture of Corinth was very secular with a powerful influence on the congregation. Most scholars agree a major theme is how to conduct church affairs differently from the culture. Verse 5 and 6 of the first chapter, "For in Him you have been enriched in every way - in all your speaking and in all your knowledge - because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you," indicates another theme. In this class you will see how the church is and should be enriching you in the way you live and view the world.

Taught by David Kern. Meets in the Multi-Purpose Room.      (Begins July 11)

IN-DEPTH BIBLE STUDY

Sermon on the Mount Part 2

What does it mean to seek first the kingdom of God in our relationships, finances, ambitions, values and commitment to God? Jesus answers this question in His sermon on the Mount, amazing those who first heard His words. The teaching of the Sermon on the Mount should amaze us too because it shows the absolute necessity for a regenerated heart and new life in Christ. Join us for an in-depth look into this compelling portion of God's Word and learn biblical ways to please our heavenly Father.

Taught by Pastor Bob Barnett. Meets in Fellowship Hall.         (Begins July 11)

     WOMEN'S BIBLE CLASS

     Christian Virtues

Virtue may not be a word you use everyday, but it defines the qualities of a person of character. One of the good things about belonging to God is that He develops virtues in you. Join us as we examine nine key Christian virtues including faith, hope, love, wisdom, justice, courage, moderation, integrity, and perseverence through prayer, group discussion and meeting God in personal reflection.

Taught by Cynthia Alexander. Meets in Fellowship Hall.          (Begins July 18)

     YOUNG PROFESSIONALS CLASS

We are a group of young professionals in our 20s and 30s, establishing ourselves in our careers and
relationships as we grow in Christ. As a key part of our ministry, our Sunday school class gives us opportunities
to develop friendships and encourage each other in our faith. Our format and topics vary each quarter as we
seek to know the Bible and relevantly apply its teachings in our lives.

Taught by Joe Lingevitch & Daniel Harbowy. Meets in Room 126.
